Yash and Radhika Pandit, some of the most popular Kannada movie stars, have made a big investment in the real estate sector with a luxury beachfront property in Alibag, Maharashtra. The luxury property was purchased for Rs. 24 crore in real estate, according to the media reports.
The purchase has certainly generated a lot of buzz among fans, and now Yash is working on his much-anticipated movie, Toxic.
Property located near Kihim Beach
According to property registration documents provided by real estate consultancy firm Liaises Foras, the actor couple bought agricultural land in Kamath village of Alibag taluk in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. The transaction was officially registered on May 18 at the Alibag Sub-Registrar’s Office.
The property is spread over 5,289 square metres (about 0.53 hectares) and is located in a prime seafront location. The land parcel also contains an existing residential structure, so the buyer is interested in the property.
Probably the most remarkable thing about this property is that it is located near Kihim Beach - one of the most popular coastal places in Alibag. The land has great sea views and easy access to the beach.
A Prime Coastal Location
The property is strategic with a village road on its eastern side and the Arabian Sea on its western side. A narrow lane along the northern end of the property seems to lead straight to the beach.
Alibag is now a popular place for celebrities, business leaders and high-net-worth people who want coastal homes away from Mumbai’s bustling urban environment. Yash and Radhika will turn the site into a second home or vacation destination, industry observers say.
Significant Stamp Duty Paid
For the high-value real estate transaction, the couple paid Rs 1.44 crore in stamp duty. They also paid Rs 60,000 as registration fees and Rs 5,200 for document handling.
The property records indicate that the land is classified as agricultural under Section 7 regulations.
