An old video of an Israeli woman tourist being harassed by a group of men at Rajasthan’s Kishangarh dumping yard has resurfaced on social media, prompting police action in Ajmer.
The incident occurred several years ago, police said, and there has been online attention in the video. The video shows a group of men approaching the tourist, asking her for selfies and making obscene and objectionable comments, police said.
The woman can be heard objecting to their behaviour in the video.
Four Men Arrested
After the video was circulated, Ajmer Police took suo motu cognisance of the matter and launched an investigation. A special team was formed to identify the people seen in the footage.
Police have since arrested four men in connection with the incident. They were identified as Mohammad Farhan, 25, Mohammad Asim, 21, Farhan, 24, and Akhtar Ali, 22. Police said the men were residents of Ramner Road.
Investigators had used technical and intelligence inputs to learn about the suspects. The four men were taken into custody and questioned about the incident.

The location identified by the police is the Kishangarh dumping yard, and it has become a tourist spot in the area.
The woman also admitted that when she was recording a video during her visit, a group of youths made inappropriate remarks about her, police said. She later posted the video online, and it took off, gaining much attention across the web.
Some recent reports describe the footage as approximately three years old. Some reports have circulated an exact 2022 date, but that date has not been independently confirmed in the strongest reports we have read in this article.
Police Investigation Underway
The accused did admit to their behaviour and expressed regret, police said. The police also assured authorities that such behaviour would not be repeated, reports indicate.
There is a case registered and further investigation is ongoing. The police took action after the video had circulated recently rather than in September 2026.
The case has also brought home the need for the treatment of foreigners and for safe and respectful areas for tourists to visit in popular tourist destinations.
