The origin of April Fool’s Day is hazy, but historians believe it dates as far back as the 16th century when calendars changed in Europe. Those who still celebrated the New Year in April were referred to as “April fools.” But over the years it is often called May fools too as it has been a week when our culture, as a whole, turns into laughing and playing art.

On April Fool's Day, pranks are small and elaborate. Friends play small tricks that may appear to be as simple as sending funny text messages and leaving stuff under someone’s wheels for others. At some age like 4 April, family members have some silly jokes. But online jokes around April Fool’s Day have taken off in the digital world and social media have grown popular with a lot of people being April fools! The internet sends jokes, photos in hilarious voices, videos I hear, the jokes, jokes and jokes. Company sales and products may be copied for a small group of people to add their marketing dollars, and to add to this excitement there are also a few that have so many fake releases or strange advertisements.

Several well-known April Fool’s pranks have made history, for instance, Google made use of a fake Gmail feature called “Mic Drop,” the way to end conversations with cartoon characters. In another instance, a newspaper reported spaghetti grew on trees while readers believed it in all the newspapers that ran them.

Arguably more than an act of fun, April Fool’s Day will show us that we can question what gets out of our own grasp: as much news about rumors spread as usual. And it is not only productive: people are creative, funny, and close to one another. But the holiday, I would say, and all pranks should never go beyond pranking so there has to be humor in our daily life.

April Fool’s Day remains a global expression about humor and creativity. So, it can be seen by many just small jokes of friend groups or a large-scale joke by companies. The theme of this day is about that to be such laughter, to be such a joke and be played out. So as long as we are kind and just; and we keep it to a minimum the world will continue to laugh on April 1st.
