Torrential rain is causing widespread flooding in rural areas of eastern Spain and roads and streets to flood fast and vehicles are stuck in increasing flood water.
The heavy rainfall has also been forcing emergency rescue operations in areas where public safety is at risk as the population is forced to go to the brink.
The heavy rains have also shown on video and pictures in the online and on social media videos of the heavy rain impact on roads and streets and how roads are flooded and water flows in cities, and the water covers roads and runs through urban areas.
Cars have been caught in the floodwater, and drivers have been trapped in floodwater, showing the threat that motorists face as water levels rise quickly as well as the dangers for them, people have said, and people are at risk.
Flash flooding can quickly develop in the rainy season, particularly when drainage systems are unable to hold up the volume of water.
In affected parts of eastern Spain, the floodwater has disrupted normal movement and made it difficult to drive through flooded streets.
Emergency teams have been involved in rescue efforts as people become stranded by the rising water. Residents are usually encouraged to avoid flooded roads and move to safer locations when warnings are issued to stay if there is a flood threat since even relatively shallow moving water can make driving very dangerous.

The latest flooding comes as eastern Spain is experiencing a spell of exceptionally heavy rainfall. Streets that are normally bustling with vehicles and pedestrians have been transformed into waterways, and parked and moving cars have been surrounded by floodwater.
Video from the affected areas has spread rapidly on social media, showing the extent of the flooding. Photos of submerged roads, stranded vehicles, and rescue work have made residents’ lives look very much worse.
Flooding is one of the most serious consequences of extreme rainfall because water can accumulate quickly and swamp roads, drainage systems, and low-lying areas. Drivers may also be exposed to very serious problems in floodwater situations if they lose traction or become immobilised.
Emergency responders are still dealing with the effects of the heavy rainfall while residents in affected areas are warned to remain cautious and follow official safety instructions.

The flooding has once more highlighted the effect that heavy rainfall can have on communities, particularly when so much water comes in a short time.
As the situation develops, authorities and emergency services are expected to monitor vulnerable areas and respond to further incidents.
The situation in parts of eastern Spain is still being closely watched with roads affected and rescue efforts going on.
Residents are warned to exercise caution but not to make unnecessary trips to flooded areas and look at weather conditions and be ready to go with official updates as they evolve.
