Trump Warns Iran as UAE Intercepts Missiles and Drones Amid Escalating Gulf Conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran after a new wave of missile and drone attacks targeted several countries in the Gulf region. The escalation comes as air defence systems in the United Arab Emirates successfully intercepted multiple incoming projectiles aimed at strategic locations and military facilities.

According to defence officials, the UAE activated its air defence network after detecting a series of Iranian missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles approaching the country. Authorities said the threats were intercepted before reaching their intended targets, though debris from interceptions has previously caused minor damage in some areas.

The latest attacks are part of the widening regional conflict triggered by earlier strikes involving the United States and Israel. Iranian forces have launched hundreds of missiles and drones toward U.S. bases and allied nations across the Middle East, including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan. Most of these projectiles have been intercepted by regional air defence systems.

Responding to the escalating attacks, Trump issued a strong statement warning Tehran of severe consequences if the strikes continue. He claimed that large parts of Iran’s military infrastructure had already been damaged and said the United States would not hesitate to retaliate if American forces or allies were threatened again.

Regional security experts say the UAE has become one of the primary targets of Iranian retaliation because it hosts several Western military installations and serves as a key logistics hub for international forces operating in the Gulf. Loud explosions reported in cities such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai in recent days were largely linked to missile interceptions or falling debris from destroyed drones.

Despite the heightened tensions, UAE authorities have urged residents to remain calm and follow official updates while security forces continue monitoring the situation. The Ministry of Defence has reaffirmed that the country’s air defence systems remain fully operational and capable of responding to any incoming threats.

With Iran continuing its missile campaign and the United States warning of stronger retaliation, analysts fear the conflict could expand further across the Gulf if diplomatic efforts fail to reduce tensions.
