The Azim Premji Foundation has officially opened the application process for the Azim Premji Scholarship 2026-27, and it is a major opportunity for girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue higher education without financial barriers. The scholarship program is in keeping with the foundation’s overall aim to improve access to quality education and educational equity in India. Financial support will help young women pursue undergraduate and diploma degrees and assist them in graduating from their chosen programs in the absence of assistance.
As with most scholarship programs that are based solely on academic merit, the Azim Premji Scholarship is only for those students who have clear eligibility. According to the eligibility criteria, applicants must have graduated from government schools and government colleges in eligible states and Union Territories as regular students in Class 10 and 12 and have received admission to the first year of a recognised undergraduate or diploma course. The program receives financial support from the program. In the undergraduate or diploma course, selected candidates will receive ₹30,000 a year. The application process starts by registering as a new applicant with a mobile number, verifying a mobile number using a one-time password (OTP), creating login credentials, entering the required details, uploading supporting documents, providing valid bank account information, and submitting the form before the deadline.
In order for a smooth application process, candidates should read everything before submitting it. Any inaccurate or incomplete details may influence the assessment of the application. All submitted documents need to be in the format and size guidelines.
The foundation has also provided some mandatory documents that should be submitted as part of the application. They include a recent passport-sized photograph, Aadhaar card, bank account details, Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, and proof of admission to a recognised college or institution. Documents can be uploaded in PDF, PNG, or JPG formats, and file sizes range from 30 KB to 500 KB.
