Many girls born and raised in Bengaluru come of age in a balance. They embrace the city’s modern life but also know their limits. They carry themselves with dignity, respecting both their families and the society around them. The delicate balancing act between tradition and modernity is what sets them apart.

In some cases, girls from outside Bengaluru do not interpret this freedom. Some consider independence to be a licence to act rashly: getting drunk in public, disorder in the streets or worse – brawl-fought self-embarrassment in a manner that is disrespectful towards the respect of their parents. This is not just a bad image, and the image of women at large who visit the city is not good.
Genuine freedom is freedom to the degree that you can study and work with self-respect and responsibility. Reckless behavior is not liberation, it is entitlement. Misused freedom is bad for the well-being of all the women trying to change the story in Bengaluru. The city has something to offer, but it also depends on the maturity and diligence of those who inhabit it.
It’s a good idea for every young woman visiting Bengaluru to bear in mind that independence is a privilege, not simply an excuse for chaos. Not only do they build wealth and earn a good education on campus, they’ll live and work responsibly and carry the respect of their families with pride. Bengaluru, being a city full of dreams, is a city where dreams can be realized in a dignified, disciplined and responsible manner.
The freedom in Bengaluru is a good thing, but it needs to be maintained prudently. Those girls from the city have demonstrated how to navigate modern life with dignity and responsibility. Outsiders can flourish here too, if they realize real empowerment comes with self-restraint, dignity, and responsible decisions.
