Fear of wild elephant movement continued in the Malnad area of Chikkamagaluru district, with a lone elephant being seen on a state highway near Basaravalli village in Chikkamagaluru taluk.
The elephant was seen walking along the highway between Hornadu and Sringeri, which is a popular route with residents, drivers, and tourists, the report said.
The lone tusker was seen near Basaravalli village after following a motorcycle rider for some time, according to the information. The elephant on the road caused concern among other motorists seeing the animal.

The lone elephant entered the state highway. Videos and accounts of the incident showed the animal moving along the road before finally turning back.
The elephant is said to have grown wary when it came across a solar fencing wire in the area. It then moved back along the route it had come from.
