The exhibition, which runs from November 27 to December 7, is being organized by the Horticulture Department on a grand scale, aiming to rival the city’s famed Lalbagh flower show. The event seamlessly blends the celebrations of Children’s Day and Karnataka Rajyotsava in its floral themes and installations.

In her inaugural address, Chief Secretary Shalini Rajanish commended the efforts of the Horticulture Department and supporting organizations for creating a vibrant, community-focused event. The show is designed to transform the area between the Fountain Circle and the Bal Bhavan Gate into a boulevard of diverse blooms.

What to Expect

The park has been adorned with over 100 varieties of flowers and plants, including special Ikenbana arrangements. A key highlight is the inclusion of a dedicated art display, featuring works by noted Karnataka painter Rumale Chennabasaviah, bridging the gap between nature and visual arts.

  • Duration: November 27 to December 7
  • Timings: 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Attractions: Floral installations, cultural performances, bonsai exhibits, and an array of over 100 stalls offering nursery plants, gardening tools, and food items.
  • Entry Fee: ₹30 for adults, ₹10 for children, and free entry for schoolchildren in uniform with a valid ID card.

Deputy Director of Horticulture (Cubbon Park) G. Kusuma stated that the event is an effort to draw more children to the park and encourage an early interest in horticulture. The response to this first large-scale show will determine whether the Cubbon Park Flower Show becomes an annual fixture on Bengaluru’s event calendar.

The public is encouraged to take advantage of the extended 11-day duration and the additional parking arrangements made near the Central Library and High Court to visit this spectacular floral exhibition.
