A shocking crime has been reported in Southwest Delhi’s Chhawla area, where a man murdered his live-in partner, hid her body in his car, and then went home to sleep.
Police said the accused, Virendra Singh (35), strangled his partner, a 44‑year‑old woman, after a heated argument over alcohol and financial issues. Singh, who is married with children but had been living with the victim for two years, allegedly lost control during the fight.
After the murder, Singh placed the body inside his car, intending to dispose of it later. However, because he was drunk, he failed to drive away and instead returned home, leaving the body locked inside the vehicle.
The crime came to light the next morning when locals noticed the body in the car and informed the police. Singh was arrested soon after. Authorities are also searching for two of his acquaintances who may have helped him move the body but fled before police arrived.
