The FBI says it suspects the organization is behind targeted killings, extortion, kidnappings, shootings, narcotics trafficking, and illegal weapons trafficking in parts of the United States and Canada. The reward announcement is part of the investigation of people who it believes are involved with transnational organized crime.

Alleged involvement in organized crime

Goldy Brar is a “very senior member of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group,” the FBI says, which is responsible for organizing criminal operations across international borders.

Investigators claim that the group has been involved in:

  • Assassinations of political and religious figures.
  • Murders and targeted shootings. Kidnappings.
  • Extortion operations.
  • Violent assaults.
  • Drug trafficking.
  • Illegal firearms trafficking.

These activities have affected communities in Southern California, other parts of the United States, and Canada, officials said.

These are allegations made by law enforcement authorities, and criminal allegations must ultimately be proven in court.

International Connections

Goldy Brar, according to the FBI, is believed to have connections in several countries:

  • United States
  • Canada. India. Mexico.

In California, he is believed to be connected to Sacramento and Fresno, although authorities have not revealed his current whereabouts.

Law enforcement agencies are still working together internationally to locate and arrest him.

Reward Announcement

The FBI is offering up to $50,000 for information that directly leads to Goldy Brar's arrest.

The FBI also said it would like to tell anyone who has information about his location or his activities to contact the FBI’s official tip line. Information can be filed at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or through the FBI’s official reporting lines.

As such, the public is directed not to approach or attempt to apprehend any wanted individual themselves and instead provide the information to law enforcement.

Focus on Transnational Organized Crime

The reward shows the increasing attention being paid to transnational organized crime networks operating across international borders by U.S. authorities. Drug trafficking, extortion, weapons smuggling, and targeted violence have long been the work of criminal organizations operating in multiple countries and require close collaboration with law enforcement agencies.

The FBI, in conjunction with other domestic and international partners, continues to investigate organized crime organizations that are allegedly threatening public safety through coordinated criminal enterprises.

Ongoing Investigation

The investigation of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group continues. No new operational details have been released because the investigation remains active.

The FBI is asking the public to report any credible information so that investigators can use it. Officials believe community cooperation can be very helpful in finding suspects and aiding with such investigations, and that the community is very important in pursuing them.

Also, more information about the investigation and any future enforcement actions may be made available by U.S. law enforcement agencies as this case develops.
