Heavy Rain Expected Along Karnataka Coast
Coastal Karnataka is expected to experience heavy rainfall. Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are among the coastal districts that could experience heavy rain.
The IMD has issued a heavy rain warning for Coastal Karnataka on September 24. Thunderstorm and lightning activity is also expected, while similar conditions may continue on September 25.
The weather conditions might also affect sea conditions. The IMD coastal weather bulletin indicated widespread rain and thunderstorms along the coast of Karnataka, and winds from the west were 10-15 knots, with gusts up to 25 knots. Visibility would be very poor during heavy rain.

South Interior Karnataka May Also Receive Heavy Rain
South Interior Karnataka is also included in the IMD’s September 24 heavy-rain warning. Thunderstorms, lightning and squally weather are possible in the region.
Parts of the Malnad region such as Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru might experience rain and thunderstorms. People travelling through hilly areas should be cautious when it is raining, particularly during periods of intense rainfall.

Bengaluru is expected to experience generally cloudy conditions with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers on September 24. The IMD has also warned of thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of around 30-40 kmph. The temperature is expected to range from 21°C to 31°C.
