The court’s order followed the woman informing the High Court that she still had safety issues despite previous legal efforts. “It seems like lots of people around me are following me, monitoring me, and they are keeping track of me, so I have an ongoing sense of fear and insecurity,” she said.
She said in her testimony to the court that she was being told about her location whenever she traveled, and it was very difficult to move on and lead a normal life. She said the attention had become more than just online, but was directly affecting her safety.
In light of these issues, the Kerala High Court took note of these issues and directed police to take care of the petitioner and, therefore, the petitioner should be protected.
