Keshav Maurya Targets Akhilesh Yadav, Makes Big BJP Claim for UP 2027

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has intensified his criticism of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav ahead of the 2027 UP assembly elections. Maurya said the Bharatiya Janata Party will return to power in the state for a third consecutive time.

The comments come as Uttar Pradesh is in the midst of increasing political activity ahead of the next Assembly election in 2027. The election is scheduled for 2027 but the Election Commission has not announced the polling schedule.

Maurya Makes 2027 Government Claim

Maurya said in a media interaction in Mirzapur on September 13, 2026, that he was confident that the BJP would form the Uttar Pradesh government for the third time in 2027. UNI reported that he linked his confidence to the organisation of the party and the performance of the BJP-led government.

Maurya's statement is part of a series of comments in which BJP leaders have talked about preparations of the party for the next Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

Attack on Samajwadi Party

He also attacked Akhilesh Yadav and the PDA strategy. The PDA slogan is a betrayal of backward classes and Dalits and voters will respond to the 2027 election, he said. He talked about the Yadav family’s home in Etawah district as well as what he predicted to be his prediction for the election results.

These statements represent Maurya's political assessment and campaign messages. They should not be taken as an established prediction of the election outcome.

Similar Remarks in Recent Weeks

Maurya has made many similar statements for the 2027 election. On September 7, he said the BJP's goal was to form the government for a third time with a strong majority and highlighted the party's organisational work ahead of the polls.

On September 16, Navbharat Times also reported Maurya saying that the BJP would form the government again in Uttar Pradesh and that the party expected support in Azamgarh.

Earlier, Hindustan Times reported that Maurya had said in February that the BJP had won twice and would win again in 2027.

What About the AI Remark?

The claim that Akhilesh Yadav is “making statements with the help of AI” could not be independently verified in reliable reports.

However, there is a history of AI-related political activity in Uttar Pradesh. AI-generated political videos and songs are reported in 2026, including BJP- and SP-related campaigning.

So the AI part of the quoted quote should be attributed to the original video or social media post if that is where it appeared, instead of being said to be independently confirmed by news reports.

2027 Election Context

The 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election is expected to be a major contest between the BJP, Samajwadi Party, and other political forces. Both BJP and SP leaders have already begun making public statements about their electoral strategies and preparations.

Maurya’s latest comments are therefore part of the political campaigning and public exchanges taking place ahead of the election. His claim that the BJP will return for a third term is a political assertion, not a verified election outcome.
