Lalbagh Flower Show 2026: Record Visitors and Revenue in First Two Days

The “Garden City” of Bengaluru is once again seen in all its glory as the annual Lalbagh Flower Show marches on its way to a historic peak. In a celebration of 2026 Republic Day, the flower party has been showing off huge numbers since its inauguration on 14 January. Record footfall, during its initial two days of operation, has also increased considerably the revenue for the Department of Horticulture.

The flower show got an amazing reaction at the start. In the first 48 hours, the floral paradise brought 72,740 tourists and brought in ₹28,34,890 in total income.

  • January 15 (Post-Makar Sankranti): As we celebrated the day after the harvest festival, the numbers surged. 32,950 people, including 24,950 adults and 3,750 children, visited in total. There were ₹21,56,330 in revenue for this one day.

The Main Attractions

And it will still be alive to the public until January 26: the Republic Day Flower Show will continue to appeal to the public. Highlights of this year’s exhibit include:

  • Unique Themes: Special themed complex floral replicas and art installations.
  • Global Flora: A magnificent showcase of native and exotic flower species.
  • The Glass House: As always, the visually stunning Glass House is at the center of the attraction and everyone—especially young patrons stand by the large flowerworks for a snapshot.

Important Guidelines for Visitors

With the Sunday and Saturday upcoming crowd expected to even expand, the authorities have given several warnings.

  • Transport: Namma Metro and other public transport are strongly encouraged to avoid heavy traffic around the Lalbagh area.
  • Sustainability: Lalbagh is a Plastic-Free Zone. If you go to the Botanical Garden, you are asked to keep it clean, waste disposed of appropriately: all that’s needed to protect the beauty of the garden.
