Lata Mangeshkar's Death In 2022
Lata Mangeshkar died on February 6, 2022, at the age of 92. She had been admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for COVID-19 but then she died after suffering from multiple organ failures.
Her death was followed by tributes from Indian political, film, music and cultural communities. Her last rites were performed in a state funeral at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, where some of Mumbai’s top personalities and political leaders were also present.
Narendra Modi also attended her funeral in Mumbai where the Prime Minister paid his final respects to the singer.
