The unfortunate news comes after an incident in the city’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar) area involving a 15-year-old boy who lost his life. Investigations have uncovered a chilling lead-up to the tragedy: A local firm was reportedly serving alcohol and cigarettes to the boy and his friends shortly before the fatal accident.
The Fatal Incident
The tragedy took place on the night of January 31, at about 9:40 PM. The victim, an apartment tenant at Dr. Vishnuvardhan Road, fell from the 7th floor. The fall started instantly, but the circumstances before it resulted in investigations by RR Nagar investigators after a complaint put in by the boy's crying parents.
There Are Illegal Use of Illicit substances
The minor and his friends had been to a local company on the premises earlier that evening, police found during the investigation. It has been alleged that the company's administration and officials promoted the use of alcohol and cigarettes by the underage group. The boy allegedly returned to his apartment while inebriated by the substances supplied by the firm and eventually lost his balance and died while there.
