Reddy performed the religious ritual of wearing the Hanumaala (a sacred garland/chain signifying devotion to Lord Hanuman) at the auspicious location where, according to local belief, Lord Rama met Shabari in Koppal district.

Visit to Anjanadri Hills

Following the ritual, MLA Janardhana Reddy arrived at the Anjanadri Hill, believed by many to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The vratacharane will be observed for five days, culminating in the visarjane (dissolution) ceremony.

Upon his arrival, Reddy offered prayers at the Hanuman Padagatti (Hanuman's footprint shrine) located at the main entrance of the Anjanadri Hill.

Meeting with Naga Sadhus

While at Anjanadri, Reddy was greeted and blessed by a group of Naga Sadhus (ascetics). The Sadhus informed him that they were touring various significant pilgrimage sites across the country. Reddy, in turn, offered them monetary contributions as a mark of respect and seeking their blessings.

The Hanumaala ritual is a popular deeksha (vow) observed by devotees, particularly in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, symbolizing physical and spiritual preparation for devotion to Lord Hanuman.
