The protest by competitive examination aspirants in Ranchi, Jharkhand, got a new boost yesterday when Mohammed Junaid reached Jaipal Singh Stadium to show solidarity with students protesting the alleged irregularities in examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
Junaid's visit comes just days after he supported students protesting recruitment at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi for similar reasons. He came to the Ranchi protest site to join the growing number of people and groups that support the movement that has gained steam in the last few days.

Mohammed Junaid met protesting students at Jaipal Singh Stadium and listened to their complaints about late recruitment, examination problems, and lack of transparency in the state's recruitment process. The students are protesting to see the exams conducted promptly and through a fair process, as well as to get recruitment drives done in a short span of time.
The protesters say repeated delays and procedural lapses have worsened the situation for millions of aspirants who are waiting for government jobs in Jharkhand, as the protesters say. Many said they have spent years preparing for competitive exams but are waiting for years in line for recruitment, waiting for a decision on recruitment, and still have a lot of questions to get the job, and there are still unresolved problems with exams.

The demonstrations have largely been on employment issues, with participants calling on the state government to speed up the recruitment process and to address purported issues of a lack of clear examinations by JPSC and JSSC.
Student leaders have declared a movement that is aimed at justice for the thousands of aspirants whose careers are stonewalled and uncertain. They have appealed to the government to dialogue with representatives of protesting candidates and implement concrete measures to restore confidence in the recruitment system.
The Jharkhand government has so far not provided a comprehensive reply to all the demands of the protesters. But officials have said recruitment processes are being reviewed and necessary steps will be taken in accordance with established procedures.
With public support continuing to build up, the protest at Jaipal Singh Stadium is now a focal point for discussion on reforms in examination, recruitment transparency, and employment opportunities in the state. Mohammed Junaid’s presence has also been a source of national attention on the worries of Jharkhand job aspirants in government jobs now.
Protesting students have made it very clear that they will not rest until transparent examination, timely recruitment, and solutions to the problems they have raised are given to them.
