A murder conspiracy to murder contractor Dhanraj Bhola has been unearthed in Nanjangud town of Mysuru district, and five people have been arrested in connection with it. The accused wanted to kill Bhola and make it look like a road accident.
The incident took place in Nanjangud, known as Dakshina Kashi, where the accused allegedly carried out the plan in a cinematic manner. The contractor escaped the attack narrowly.
According to the information available, the accused allegedly got a ₹2 lakh supari to eliminate Dhanraj Bhola. The plan was to use a lorry to deliberately hit the contractor and make the death appear to be an accident.
Five Accused Arrested
The Nanjangud Town Police have arrested five people in connection with the alleged conspiracy. They have been identified as Gym Saleem, Syed Sufiyan, Ziya, Salman and Sameer.
The police believe that the accused were planning the attack to do so and the attack was executed at the right time.
Syed Sufiyan is believed to have been involved as the lorry driver who was ordered to carry out the attack. The investigation will look for the exact role played by each accused and the person or persons who ordered the killing.
Two attempts were made at the same time
The investigation has revealed that the accused made two attempts to attack Dhanraj Bhola. The contractor survived both attempts in spite of being trapped and escaped the alleged plot.
The attackers tried to ram into Bhola in a lorry. The plan was supposedly to make the collision look like an accident, not a murder.
Bhola escaped with his life, after which the police launched an investigation into the possible attack.
CCTV Footage Helps Police
CCTV footage was also an important part of the investigation. The suspects’ movements were recorded on surveillance cameras in and around the area.
Based on the footage and other information gathered during the investigation, the Nanjangud Town Police traced and arrested the five accused.
The investigating police are now seeking to find out who ordered the murder conspiracy, the source of the money for the ₹2 lakh supari, and why the contractor was targeted.
Investigation Underway
The case has brought attention to an alleged attempt to use a road accident as a cover for a planned killing. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the complete sequence of events and the involvement of any other persons.
The arrests were made by Nanjangud Town Police, and more information will be revealed through the investigation.
