Speculation in India's next education minister is now running wild over who will be the next education minister of India?
The resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the paper leak controversy in NEET UG 2026 paper leak is creating a lot of debate about who could be entrusted with one of the country’s most important ministries.

5. Nirmala Sitharaman
Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, is another senior leader whose name has come up in speculation.
As one of the most experienced members of the Modi Cabinet, Sitharaman has a long history of being Defence Minister and a number of important posts have been held in her political career.
Her skill on policy issues and big-picture reform has led to some people speculating that she might be considered if the government opts for a high-profile appointment to stabilize the ministry.
