Online Registration Begins for KVS Admissions 2026–27 Across India

KVS began admission for 2026–27 Academic year on March 20, 2026. Parents all over India are now required to register their children online for Balvatika (pre‑primary) and Class 1. This registration will continue through April 2, 2026. Class 2 and above admission will be conducted via an offline mode and is subject to seat availability. Thousands of families are paying attention to the announcement as Kendriya Vidyalayas is one of the most trusted schools in the country.

Parents must register on the official portal, admission.kvs.gov.in. . They must have information from the child’s name, date of birth, parents’ occupation and his or her contact information. Communication requires a valid mobile number and email address. And, they can log in to complete the application form and upload the required documents upon registration. Seats for Class 1 will be allocated by lottery to maintain equity and transparency.

Applicants are required to show a birth certificate, passport‑size photograph, proof of residence, caste where applicable. A service certificate is also required for the children of government employees. These papers validate status and ensure that the reserved categories are properly accounted for.

KVS has a strict reservation policy. Seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and children of central government employees. When Balvatika classes are already open, children in Balvatika‑3 will be directly admitted to Class 1.

Kendriya Vidyalayas, known quality of education and CBSE curriculum and lower fees. Balvatika classes are a significant expansion as they provide a pre‑primary education service in the KVS system.
