Narendra Modi received Bobbili Ekanda Veena, one of Andhra Pradesh’s most precious traditional musical instruments at the inauguration of Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh.

The Bobbili Veena, also known as the Bobbili Ekanda Veena, is a unique string instrument made from a single block of jackwood. As the prime minister received the handcrafted veena, he praised the craftsmanship of Andhra Pradesh craftsmen. Bobbili Veena was presented at the inauguration of major infrastructure projects including Bhogapuram International Airport which will reduce regional disconnections, boost tourism and attract new investment in the state.
The airport is one of Andhra Pradesh’s most ambitious aviation projects and is expected to reach millions of passengers annually once fully operational.
Handcrafted veena became one of the highlights of the event, highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s cultural identity as well as the rapidly expanding infrastructure.
