The bull suddenly attacked a man who was outside his home while holding a child in Raipur’s DD Nagar area in a terrifying way.
It was captured on CCTV showing the animal charging towards the man and knocking him down. The man suffered a serious injury in the attack and the child he was with was also thrown onto the road during the incident, local reports said.
The attack was part of a wider series of incidents involving the same bull in parts of DD Nagar, and local media reported that around 15 people were injured in Kanchanganga Phase 2, Sector 2 and Banji Nagar.

The injured man has been identified as Devnarayan Sharma and is a resident of Sector 2. He was outside his house with his approximately 1-year-old grandson when the bull came from behind.
The footage shows the animal suddenly charging at Sharma. The impact caused him to lose his balance and fall to the ground, while the child in his arms also fell onto the road. Sharma was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment, said reports.

The footage has caught attention because the attack occurred so abruptly that the man had little time to react while he was holding the child.
According to reports, the child’s fall also caused concern in the area. There was no immediate word about the child’s condition from the reports reviewed.
There are around 15 people reported injured.
The bull went on a rampage across several parts of DD Nagar area attacking people in Kanchanganga Phase 2, Sector 2 and Banji Nagar, police said.
Among those injured was former Mahila Congress state president Kalpana Patel, who was taken to Balaji Hospital for treatment.
The repeated attacks caused panic in the neighbourhood and residents were found to be trying to escape the attacks while the animal was still aggressive.
It was eventually the authorities who launched an operation to catch the bull.
Forest Department Uses Tranquiliser to Capture Bull
After the attacks, teams worked to control the animal. A municipal team arrived with a cattle catcher, but attempts to catch the bull continued for several hours.
The Forest Department was called in. Officials used a tranquilliser dart to sedate the animal before it could be safely brought under control.
There has also been speculation about why the bull became so aggressive. Cow protection workers had claimed that the animal had been bitten by a dog around two months earlier and raised the possibility of rabies.
But there is no official proof that the bull had rabies. That kind of claim would need to be evaluated and tested and not be treated as fact based on the animal’s behaviour.
Such incidents are one more reminder that stray cattle and public safety in urban areas is a concern as well.
For residents of the affected areas of DD Nagar, the immediate concern was the safety of pedestrians, particularly after multiple people were apparently injured by the same animal as well.
CCTV footage of the attack has since attracted widespread attention with the fact that just seconds after a normal moment outside a home turned into a dangerous situation.
