The SIT investigating the fake medicine racket in Ramanagara has made progress in the detention of Prashanth, whom the investigators have named as a major culprit and alleged kingpin in the case.

According to sources, Prashanth was in the custody of customs authorities in Azerbaijan. After being sent to India by the Azerbaijani authorities, he flew from Sharjah to Bengaluru airport.
