Rowdy-Sheeter Hacked to Death at Farmhouse in Ramanagara; Old Rivalry Suspected

Ramanagara: A 45-year-old rowdy-sheeter from Bengaluru was hacked to death by unknown assailants at his farmhouse near Kanakapura in Karnataka's Ramanagara district on Sunday night. Police suspect that the murder may have been due to old rivalry, although the exact motive is yet to be determined.

Venkatesh (45) of Arakere in Bengaluru was found dead. The deceased was identified as a rowdy-sheeter under the jurisdiction of Hulimavu Police Station.

Attack Inside Farmhouse

According to preliminary police information, Venkatesh was alone in his farmhouse on Shivaladappa Betta Road on the outskirts of Uyamballi village in Kanakapura taluk when a group of unidentified assailants entered the property.

The attackers attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and inflicted fatal injuries before fleeing the scene.

Police Reach the Spot

With the information about the incident, officers from the Sathanur Police Station rushed to the farmhouse and secured the crime scene.

The body was sent for post-mortem examination while forensic investigators began collecting evidence from the location to assist in the investigation.

Old Enmity Under Investigation

Police believe the killing could be linked to previous enmity or rivalry, but officials have not ruled out other possible motives.

Investigators are exploring Venkatesh’s criminal background, recent activities and known associates to identify those who were behind the attack.

CCTV footage from nearby areas and other technical evidence are also being reviewed as part of the investigation.

Case Registered

A murder case has been registered at Sathanur Police Station, and a search has been launched to trace the accused.

Police have appealed to anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.

The motive and the identities of the suspects will be revealed in the course of the investigation, officials said.
