According to earlier information, Anushree was the daughter of Chandran, a resident of Katupalla village in Kerala’s Kasaragod district. She had already joined SBI and was in the process of professional training when she met Amal, who worked in an SBI branch in Ernakulam and hails from Iritty in Kerala. The friendship between them then developed into a romantic relationship.

Family members of both people were said to have approved of their relationship and marriage arrangements were already finalized. The wedding was scheduled in December and preparations were reportedly underway. Relatives and friends expected the couple to start a new chapter in their lives together and the sudden tragedy came as a surprise to all of them.

Anushree had been staying in Subbanna Layout in Hunsur city of Mysuru district, Karnataka. She spoke with her parents and sister by phone shortly before the incident, sources said. Later, she was found dead at her home in what police are now treating as a suspected suicide. Local authorities were informed, and a case was registered at Hunsur Town Police Station.

Investigators are also looking at all aspects of the case to determine what could have led to her death. There have been initial indications that Anushree and Amal argued over something before her death, officials said.

When he learned of Anushree’s death, Amal was in tears, it was said. He subsequently checked into a lodge in Iritty, Kerala, where he was found dead in another suspected suicide case, according to reports. Kerala police also started investigating and are working together to get more information about the incident.

The young couple’s deaths have brought together families, friends and colleagues and members of their local community. Many have expressed disbelief that a couple who had recently become engaged and were preparing for marriage could meet such a tragic end within a short span of time.

Police said they would investigate what happened and whether any other factors could have led to the deaths. Family members, friends and other people are going to be interviewed. Communication records and other evidence will also be reviewed to get a better picture of things.

There is no better time than now for emotional support, communication and mental well-being to be strengthened, no matter how difficult life is for people now. Initial information has been provided, but officials have said that speculation needs to stop and facts are verified.

Further details will be forthcoming as the police continue their investigation both in Kerala and Karnataka.
