A road accident claimed the life of a local resident after a speeding car struck him in Anantharam in Muddhuchintalapally Municipality in Telangana's Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Tuesday night. Jamaluddin died instantly due to the strong impact of the collision.
Jamaluddin was in the vicinity when the car rammed him at high speed, according to initial reports. He suffered so much damage that he died instantly before medical help arrived.
The car was driven by a person from Lakshmapur, police officials said. But authorities are still trying to figure out the driver’s identity and other details as a part of the investigation.
The whole incident was documented on camera, so investigators can reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the fatal crash and help trace the cause of the accident.
After the accident, police arrived on the scene, secured the area and conducted legal procedures. Jamaluddin's body was taken for post-mortem examination before being handed over to his family.
A case has been registered, and investigators are looking into whether the driver was speeding, driving negligently or violating traffic laws. They will also have to scan the CCTV footage frame by frame and gather witness statements to get a picture of the accident.
