Food lovers in Bengaluru are known for their unique and evolving taste preferences, and now India’s leading food delivery platform, Swiggy, has officially revealed the city’s most-loved restaurants through the much-awaited “Swiggy Restaurant Awards 2026.”
The nationwide awards celebrated the best-performing restaurants across food delivery and dine-out categories, with Bengaluru’s iconic legacy brands as well as new-generation favourites emerging as winners.
Bengaluru’s Favourite Restaurants Revealed
The awards highlighted how Bengaluru customers continue to support a wide variety of cuisines and dining experiences through both online ordering and in-person dining.
Food Delivery Winners
The restaurants that dominated the online food delivery category based on customer orders, ratings, and popularity include:
- Truffles
- Nandhana Palace
- Meghana Foods
- Magnolia Bakery
- RNR Biryani – Taste of 1953
These restaurants reportedly received massive customer engagement for home and office deliveries throughout the year.
Dine-Out Winners
In the dine-out category, Bengaluru residents voted for restaurants that offer memorable experiences for families, friends, and weekend outings.

Record-Breaking Participation Across India
This year’s Swiggy Restaurant Awards became the largest edition in the platform’s history. According to company data, around 6.43 lakh unique customers cast over 1.3 crore votes nationwide.
The company said voting participation increased by 2.2 times compared to the previous year, reflecting growing engagement among food enthusiasts across India.
More than 43.8 lakh customers reportedly shared voting links with friends and family, while nearly 25,000 new users joined the platform specifically to participate in the awards.
15,000 Brands Honoured Across 160 Cities
The awards covered more than 110 categories across over 160 cities in India, with around 15,000 food brands receiving recognition.
While metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad remained major contributors, the awards also highlighted growing food cultures in smaller and emerging cities.
Bengaluru’s Love for Food Stands Out
Speaking about the response, Siddharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer of Swiggy Food Marketplace, reportedly said Bengaluru continues to remain one of India’s most dynamic food markets.
He noted that customers in the city actively shape food trends through their choices and preferences, making Bengaluru one of the country’s most influential culinary destinations.
Biryani Continues to Rule India
At the national level, biryani once again emerged as India’s most popular dish, receiving over 7.02 lakh votes.
Pizza, North Indian cuisine, burgers, and Chinese dishes followed closely behind in popularity rankings.
New Food Trends Added in 2026
The 2026 edition introduced several new categories reflecting changing customer preferences, including:
- Pasta
- Arabic cuisine
- Cheesecake
- Mandi
- Grills & Shawarma
- Corporate/Desk Eats
- Eat Right categories
Regional food categories such as Nati-style biryani, Rayalaseema cuisine, South Indian breakfast dishes, and Marathi food were also added to celebrate India’s diverse culinary heritage.
The awards once again demonstrated how India’s food culture continues to evolve rapidly, with Bengaluru remaining at the forefront of culinary experimentation and dining trends.
