Tamil Nadu CM Issues Stern Warning on Women’s Safety and Drug Abuse

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has issued a stern warning on women’s safety as crimes against women will not be tolerated. At a recent event he said people don't understand social problems through reels and Instagram so they need to face the harsh realities behind those crimes. He said drug abuse is why there is harassment and violence against women and it has to be eradicated from society at large.

The Chief Minister said drug abuse has been ignored for many years, suggesting previous governments did not tackle it properly. He said his government would not make the same mistakes and would do so in a very serious way to eradicate narcotics networks that threaten social stability and women’s safety.

In a powerful statement, he said: “I was saying this softly… But now I’m saying this as a warning. Whoever disturbs women’s safety will not be tolerated. The punishment will be very severe, and it will be a very quick one.” His words brought about a change of tone, a move from caution to firm resolve, that offenders will face swift justice.
