The NTA has released the results of UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination for the English, Commerce and Sociology papers. The results are out from September 18 for the re-examination conducted earlier this month.
The candidates who took the re-exam can now access their scorecards through the UGC-NET website. The NTA website has listed the UGC-NET June 2026 Re-Exam Score Card among its candidate activity updates.
The re-examination was made after complaints were made about errors in the question papers for the three subjects.
According to reports, an expert committee reviewed complaints and found many issues, such as factual, typographical, translation and language-related errors. Repeated questions were also expressed in the affected papers.
Following the review, the NTA announced that the English, Commerce and Sociology papers would be conducted again.
The re-examination was held on 9 and 10 September 2026 with the candidates appearing at individual examination centres across the country.
The final answer key for the re-examination was released on 17 September - one day before the results were announced. The official UGC-NET website currently shows the final answer key as well as the re-exam scorecard for the candidates.
The candidates who appeared for the re-examination should check their scorecards closely. The UGC-NET is conducted to determine eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor and PhD programmes, depending on the qualifying category.
The official UGC-NET website says eligibility is based on the aggregate results of all papers.
To check the result, candidates can visit the official UGC-NET website and select the link for the UGC-NET June 2026 Score Card (Re-Exam) in that section. They then need to enter the required login details to access and download their scorecard.
The announcement ends the additional examination process for the candidates affected by the issues in the original English, Commerce and Sociology papers.
It is advised to keep a copy of their scorecard and final answer key in case they have any future academic or recruitment needs.
The NTA has also published official notices and examination documents related to the June 2026 UGC-NET cycle on its website.
