On his visit to the Gorakhnath Temple complex in Gorakhpur of Uttar Pradesh at a child-friendly time as it came along, he came on to see that the CM is very connected to the people very down-to-earth and in touch and very special; the same how it was with them that he gets to the people and is very real. The Gorakhnath Temple is not religious only, but very much a public place of nature and thus a place where Yogi Adityanath’s work will be well known to the people and hence the public and so it was special.
The Chief Minister’s visit to the temple complex was part of his daily spiritual and social engagement. Then he offered prayers and looked at a temple before going to meet a young boy whom he wanted to talk to. The child was curious and smiling and Yogi Adityanath got to talk to him in good terms. Such gestures always make a lasting impression like the others did and especially in such a place where leaders take over their lives in a formal manner.
Hence, in India political leaders are not judged only in the policies that are actually done but in the way themselves as well. When a leader takes a minute to talk to you, too, young people of India (people in general, but especially your children) and show respect for them, it is a picture of approachability and empathy. Yogi Adityanath who is in a religious but also a political capacity was given another perspective as a person with two responsibilities: to lead by understanding faith and to govern through responsibility in the process.
Gorakhnath Temple is a site of spiritual study and social service in Uttar Pradesh. In the name and role of Mahant (chief priest) with the temple Yogi Adityanath is concerned in the welfare and support of the community in that sense. His time he spends for the child is a manifestation of this temple’s values that are just, respectful and diverse. It also reflects how leadership can bring authority and everyday life in front of people at a higher level too.
A small act speaking to a child can stand as such for broader ideas. It means hope we have, continuity and the need to nurture future generations. In a society where children aren’t usually found in public spaces that can be missed and taken well, that recognition was great from a leader. And by caring and respecting the younger generation and not excluding them, which could be the main reason that people of color are so happy too, is also very effective.
Yogi Adityanath’s encounter with a child at the Gorakhnath Temple complex was more than just an amicable conversation. In that moment it illustrated how he could merge his personal teachings with governance, so he could meet with people he really cared about who lived nearby. For a majority of people in Uttar Pradesh the lesson was that leadership in such people lives on; children represent the future of the state as well as to be a state.
