This has worried his supporters and political colleagues who have been keeping an eye on his health.

Supriya Sule Confirms Sharad Pawar's Hospital Admission

Sharad Pawar’s daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule confirmed his fresh hospitalisation through a post on social media platform X.

“We are taking Baba to Breach Candy Hospital for tests. Thanks everyone for your concern and good wishes,” Sule tweeted.

Pawar was taken to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai late Wednesday for further medical tests. His family has confirmed the admission and thanked supporters for their concern and wishes.

Sharad Pawar Was Discharged From Pune Hospital

Earlier on Wednesday, November 4, Pawar was discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, where he had been admitted on November 2.

The 85-year-old politician was initially hospitalised after complaints of cough and pleuritic chest pain. Doctors examined him and kept him under observation.

Dr Purvez K Grant, chief cardiologist, chairman and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, had earlier said Pawar was admitted for a regular medical check-up as he complained of pleuritic pain.

The doctor said that the veteran leader was kept under medical observation while he underwent the necessary tests.

After he was admitted to the Pune facility Supriya Sule had told supporters that his health parameters were normal and doctors were doing tests.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Calls Sharad Pawar

Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called Sharad Pawar over phone to enquire about his health.

NCP (SP) chief’s aide Vitthal Maniyar confirmed the meeting and said the Prime Minister expressed concern over his health and wished him a speedy recovery.

Addressing reporters, Maniyar said Modi spoke to Pawar with love and respect and told him to take complete rest.

The Prime Minister was also said to have told Pawar that Supriya Sule and others would look after things while he looked after his health.

Maniyar said Pawar thanked the Prime Minister for his concern and told him he was resting. He reportedly also said his colleagues would continue to take care of their responsibilities.

The phone call shows how leaders from all sides of the political spectrum care about the health of the veteran politician.

What Is Pleuritic Chest Pain?

Pleuritic pain is chest pain that becomes more noticeable when breathing, coughing, or sneezing.

It is due to irritation or inflammation of the pleura (the thin membranes surrounding the lungs). But chest pain can have many causes and medical examinations are needed to find out what is causing it.

In Pawar’s case, Ruby Hall Clinic doctors had earlier said he was admitted following complaints of pleuritic pain and was kept under observation.

His subsequent admission to Breach Candy Hospital was reportedly for further tests. No other diagnosis should be assumed without an official medical update.

Political Leaders and Supporters Wish Him a Speedy Recovery

Sharad Pawar is one of Maharashtra’s most prominent political leaders and has been influential in state as well as national politics for many decades.

His hospitalisation news worried supporters and political leaders. His daughter Supriya Sule has been updating people about his health and thanking well-wishers for their wishes.

For now, it is the medical tests at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital that are in focus, and supporters are waiting for further word from the family about the veteran leader’s health.

His family has thanked everyone for their concern and good wishes as he undergoes further medical tests.
