Shraddha Dubey, the model and social media influencer and key suspect in the death of Lucknow businessman Shiva Sharma, was arrested in Nagpur, Maharashtra today (20 October 2026) where her sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Tanveer Ali (Danish) were arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), Lucknow Police and Nagpur Police.
The arrests followed an 11-day search across various locations, Hindustan Times, India Today and NDTV reported. The accused were wanted in connection with Sharma's death, which took place on October 9 in Lucknow.
The arrests represent an important advance in the investigation. The accused will be questioned further, and investigators will try to determine what happened to Sharma.
What happened to Shiva Sharma?
Shiva Sharma, a 28-year-old businessman who owned restaurants in Lucknow, died after falling from the fourth floor of an apartment building in the city’s Hazratganj area on Oct 9.
The incident was initially treated as an accidental death. But that turned into a murder investigation after Sharma’s mother Ranjana Sharma filed a complaint in which she claimed her son was assaulted and subjected to physical and mental harassment prior to his death.

Shraddha Dubey Denies the Allegations
While she was being sought by police, Dubey published videos on social media denying involvement in Sharma’s death. She claimed that Sharma had died by suicide due to financial problems and disputed allegations that he had been assaulted or tortured.
Sharma’s family has rejected her account and asked for a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death.
