Delhi Blue Bulls GC have officially unveiled their playing jersey ahead of their much anticipated Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Season 2 campaign, an important step for the club as it prepares for the upcoming season. The jersey launch was held at Qutab Golf Course on Wednesday, giving fans their first glimpse of the colours the team will wear during its campaign.
The jersey was unveiled by Ganesh Sarnala, Director, RVR Projects Pvt Ltd, along with Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of IGPL. The franchise’s complete playing group - Shiv Kapur, Gaurav Ghei, Chiragh Kumar and Aryan Roopa Anand - were on stage in the new colours for the first time, representing the team’s identity ahead of competition.
The playing kit is made from the franchise’s signature blue and features the Delhi Blue Bulls GC crest and is customized for tournament conditions. The jersey is meant to provide the team with a common identity from one camp to the next, on the franchise’s home leg in Delhi.
Star-Studded Delhi Blue Bulls GC Squad
Delhi Blue Bulls GC will enter the IGPL with extensive experience in its ranks. We’re sure the franchise will be run by two of Indian golf’s most accomplished names: Gaurav Ghei and Shiv Kapur.
Ghei will serve as both a mentor and player, a three-time Asian Tour winner whose knowledge of professional golf will also equip the team’s young talent.
Kapur will also contribute as a player. The 2002 Asian Games gold medallist and four-time winner in Asia brings with him extensive international experience to the franchise. His presence gives the Delhi Blue Bulls GC squad another proven performer as the team prepares for Season 2.
Shiv Kapur, Gaurav Ghei, Chiragh Kumar and Aryan Roopa Anand are the full playing group that combines experience and youth as the franchise attempts to make a mark in the league.
Focus on Growing Golf In Delhi
The Delhi Blue Bulls GC project is going to be much more than competition. There is an emphasis on growing golf at the grassroots level and creating opportunities for young players in the capital, the franchise has also stated.
As part of the franchise’s community-development initiative, it will launch a Junior Programme to introduce children in Delhi to golf and provide them with the guidance of professional coaching. It will be a way for kids to learn and practice a new skill and develop a career in the sport which is a game they don’t have access to in the future.
The franchise is also a member of the league’s Golf Growth Initiative along with the Indian Golf Union (IGU), Women’s Golf Association of India, PGA India and The Golf Foundation. In this way the team will help to develop golf in India.
Community And Environmental Initiatives
Delhi Blue Bulls GC has also announced initiatives aimed at creating a broader social impact. Birdies for the Bulls is the franchise’s social-impact initiative, and a season-linked tree-plantation drive is being undertaken with partner Greenpanel.
The franchise intends to be able to build a link with the city outside of golf and its actions are in line with that. They regard participation in IGPL as not only a contest but also to help generate participation in golf and to get involved in community programs.
Ganesh Sarnala said the jersey represents the point at which the franchise moves from an idea into a functioning team. RVR’s long-term approach to their projects and said the organisation wants Delhi’s golf community to consider the Blue Bulls its own team.
Shiv Kapur On Representing Delhi
For Shiv Kapur, the team format brings a new dimension to a sport that is traditionally individual in nature. Kapur said wearing a team jersey changes the experience because every shot is connected to teammates and collectively working, he said at the jersey launch.
Kapur also reflected on his previous achievement of winning gold for India at the Asian Games, describing the opportunity to captain and represent Delhi as a great honour.
He also emphasized the franchise's commitment to developing young golfers in the city. Kapur said the Junior Programme will take children into the sport from there by providing access and coaching opportunities.
IGPL Season 2 Enters Crucial Phase
IGPL Season 2 will enter its second half and it will feature a series of events across the UAE and India. The second half of the season will have nine events, which is even more important for the upcoming Delhi leg.
The Delhi Blue Bulls GC will host the IGPL Invitational 2026 presented by RVR Delhi Blue Bulls GC at Qutab Golf Course from September 29 to October 1, 2026. It will allow the franchise to compete on home soil and to make its new identity known to Delhi’s golf fans.
Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of IGPL, said team identity is a defining feature of the league and that occasions like the jersey launch allow fans to start forming a connection with individual franchises. Teams taking ownership of their colours and home venues is an important part of the league’s development, he said.
Delhi Blue Bulls GC Aim To Build A Lasting Identity
The release of the official kit marks the start of a new chapter for Delhi Blue Bulls GC. With experienced names like Gaurav Ghei and Shiv Kapur leading the team, the franchise will try and combine competitive aspirations with its whole intention to grow golf in the capital.
The Qutab Golf Course home event will be especially important to the team of the future if they wish the team to get a strong connection with local fans. Not to mention the Junior Programme, Birdies for the Bulls initiative and environmental activities are also going to be key for the franchise in its brand identity, along with that, is a big part of its competitive mission.
With the official jersey now unveiled and the Season 2 campaign coming to a close, Delhi Blue Bulls GC are ready to take their place on the IGPL stage. The combination of experience, grassroots engagement and a strong home-city focus allows the franchise to build not just a competitive golf team but a lasting presence in Delhi’s sporting landscape.
