India produced a brilliant attacking performance, defeating Pakistan 19-0 in the quarter-final of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 in Moqi, China, in a one-sided match that gave India a place in the semifinals and solidified their position as one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
India had already shown some good form at the group stage. On the field, they won against Japan, Malaysia and South Korea before drawing 0-0 with host China. Top place in their pool meant that they would have been in the quarter-finals against Pakistan, but India knew they had won once the knockout ended.
The 19-goal margin was a reflection of India’s full control throughout the match. Pakistan could not cope with India’s attacking pressure, and Indian defence made sure their opponents could not get on the scoresheet.

This also adds to India’s record in the Women’s Junior Asia Cup. India won the 2023 edition and were champions again in 2024 when they defeated China in a penalty shootout in the final, 3-1.
India will be able to make one more appearance in the final. The team has been one of the best in the competition in the last editions so far and has been performing well at the junior level.

Semifinal Awaits For Defending Champions.
With the quarterfinal win, India is in the last four of the 2026 tournament. Their semifinal opponent will be the winner of the quarterfinal between South Korea and Malaysia.
That win against Pakistan will give India a lot of confidence going into the semifinal, but the team will know that the rest of the matches will be tougher for them to make progress. India will have to work harder to get to the final now if it wants to make it to the final and work towards a sixth straight title.
The 19-0 victory is also one of India's biggest statements of intent in the tournament. After a goalless draw against China in the group stage, the defending champions showed all their resolve in the knockout rounds when they began.
