The round takes place between 6 November and 8 November with Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United among the teams in focus.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City: Can City get back to winning ways?

One of the biggest fixtures of the weekend is Nottingham Forest hosting Manchester City at the City Ground on Saturday (Nov 7).

City will be looking to bounce back from successive Premier League defeats and keep their title challenge alive. Erling Haaland remains an important attacking threat having scored nine league goals in nine games.

Forest meanwhile need to get their position right and take more of the attacking opportunities they have – their underlying performances suggest they could be more competitive than their league position suggests.

  • Kick-off: 11:00 PM IST.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa: A Crucial Sunday Test

Manchester United host Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday 8 November.

United need a run of wins after a poor spell in the league. A home win would be a big boost to their campaign.

Aston Villa will also want to pick up some points. Their recent form has been inconsistent so it’s an important game for both teams.

  • Kick-off: 10:00 PM IST.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool: Can the hosts upset?

Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Liverpool will want to bounce back after recent defeats against Arsenal and Fenerbahce. They’re dangerous opponents with attacking quality but Palace have also troubled the Reds before.

Palace need points to move away from the relegation zone and will be hoping home advantage gives them a strong performance.

  • Kick-off: 7:30 PM IST.

Other Important Fixtures to Watch

Leeds United host Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday. Leeds are looking to end a winless streak of five games while Spurs come into the game having won their last three Premier League matches.

Arsenal take on Hull City at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal will start favourites but Hull have shown before that they can beat established clubs.

Fulham travel to Newcastle United at Craven Cottage. Fulham’s possession-based game will be tested against Newcastle’s attacking football.

Brighton host Brentford on Sunday in an interesting game between two sides with different strengths. Sunderland host Chelsea, where the physicality of the home team will test Chelsea’s midfield.

Ipswich Town also host Bournemouth in another important fixture.
