Liverpool Fight Back to Beat Brentford.

Liverpool delivered one of Saturday’s biggest results by beating Brentford 2-1 at Gtech Community Stadium. Brentford started with Keane Lewis-Potter but it was Yehor Yarmolyuk who was sent off in first half stoppage time.

Victor Muñoz equalised for Liverpool before Alexander Isak scored the winner. Brentford finished the game with nine players after Vitaly Janelt was dismissed.

Liverpool won three points after losing to Manchester City in the previous round. But it is hard to win consistently in that team and stay in the race for European qualification.

Manchester United Drop Points Against Leeds

Manchester United were held to a 1–1 draw by Leeds United at Elland Road on October 18, 2026. Bryan Mbeumo scored for United in the 35th minute, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised for Leeds in the 51st minute.

United failed to secure all three points despite taking the lead, while Leeds earned a valuable point in front of their home fans.

Manchester City Survive Ipswich Challenge

Manchester City defeated Ipswich Town 3-2 at Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland scored twice and Phil Foden also contributed to the victory.

Ipswich pushed City all throughout the game but Pep Guardiola’s side continued to win and maintain their winning momentum. City remained at the top of the table with the victory and injuries to several players were considered worrying but the result cemented City’s position.

Brighton deliver a Five-Star performance…

Brighton recorded the most comprehensive victory of the weekend and defeated Crystal Palace 5-0 on Sunday. Diego Gómez scored a great long-range goal as Brighton overwhelmed their opponents.

Brighton’s place in the league table was boosted by the result and the team showcased their attacking ability. Palace suffered a damaging defeat in the league table and also faced a severe loss in the fight to be consistent.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Aston Villa get wins.

Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 1–0 with Noni Madueke scoring in the 80th minute. Chelsea beat Everton 2–0 on goals from Pedro Neto and Aston Villa beat Newcastle United 1–0 with Johan Manzambi’s early goal.

Fulham also scored a narrow 1–0 victory against Hull City, while Bournemouth beat Sunderland 2–0.

Liverpool’s comeback victory provided a welcome boost, and Manchester United’s draw highlighted their ongoing need for consistency. Manchester City maintained their winning run, and Brighton had the most impact in their dominant performance.

The weekend had a lot of competition in the table because Arsenal also took three points. The next round will provide more chances for the top teams to strengthen themselves and for the chasing teams to make up lost ground.
