Saudi Arabia has come out with plans for a new futuristic stadium that will be one of the most famous venues for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
As a conceptual rendering of the proposed stadium has been published online which shows the kingdom’s dreams for innovation, modern architecture and big city development.
The stadium will be about 350 metres from the ground level, making it one of the most special sports venues in the world. A multi-dimensional city development project will then be created and the stadium will be a combination of new engineering and state-of-the-art.
These images are conceptual but they are very clear that Saudi Arabia wants to change the way fans see a stadium that was never built for a FIFA World Cup.
The stadium will have state-of-the-art facilities, premium seating, advanced digital technology, and sustainable design elements. Construction timelines and final architectural specifications are still to be revealed but already being seen as a project with a bold vision and an innovative location are being discussed all over the world.
Hosting the World Cup is also part of Saudi Arabia’s global objectives to diversify its economy with tourism, entertainment and international events to help in the country’s economic growth.
In recent years the country has invested in a number of global sports (Formula One, boxing, golf, esports and football) to become one of the world’s largest competition hubs and also to promote global sports as well as international participation.
The proposed stadium is exactly this kind of strategy to match sports with futuristic urban planning. With the high elevation the view will be truly amazing and will be integrated into the entertainment, hospitality and transport system of the surrounding city. If built according to its plan it would surely become one of the most famous stadiums in the world.

When the concept images came out online, football fans across the world were excited. Some praised the futuristic architecture, others were interested in the design of the futuristic architecture, others were fascinated by the engineering aspects of building a stadium at such a high height.
