India started their ODI series in an impressive fashion against Afghanistan with a 7-wicket victory in the opening match of the series at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. The Afghan bowlers were not able to build pressure on the Indian batters so quickly as Gill and Rahul kept finding gaps, and Gill and Rahul kept finding gaps and took the opportunity to hit loose deliveries.
The result showed India in every department of the game as a whole to be superior. After having earlier restricted Afghanistan to a moderate total in the morning, the Indian batsmen handled the chase extremely well. With this big victory, India will therefore have gained valuable momentum and confidence heading into the next couple of days and will be able to build on it and the next few days.
