A Growing Footprint in Alibaug

“Virushka” has made its way to the Raigad district before. In 2022, they bought almost 8 acres of land for about ₹19.24 crore. They built a high-tech, wellness-chic holiday home on that initial plot. The existing villa is a masterpiece of modern architecture, incorporating:

A temperature-controlled swimming pool and jacuzzi. A customizable kitchen, by the German brand Poggenpohl. Huge gardens and staff quarters. Virat Kohli has revealed his love for the area before, claiming it is "proximity to Mumbai" and a "completely different world" from the city’s chaos.

The "Celebrity Signal" Effect

Real estate professionals estimate that this latest acquisition is a "textbook celebrity signal moment." Deals of this scale often re-normalize local land thresholds, Abhishek Kiran Gupta, CEO of CRE Matrix, said. With celebrities such as Bachchans, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, and cricketer Rohit Sharma all investing in the area, Alibaug has rapidly moved from a weekend escape to a curated high-end residential center.

With enhanced connectivity on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) as well as speedy Ro-Ro ferry services, travel time from South Mumbai has dropped remarkably, resulting in these multi-crore investments being a lifestyle and strategic long-term investment.
