Virat Kohli has launched his latest venture One8 Sportswear at a global launch in Delhi to the huge audience of cricket fans, celebrities and industry leaders to celebrate. This is One8's first global launch as a brand and launch date that will go down in history within Agilitas Sports and will be the first time that One8 has become an independent label to launch a collection of high-performance cricket spikes, lifestyle shoes and apparel to be able to merge athletic function with city attire.
The best-known product of the evening was the Seam XVIII Signature Test Red shoe at ₹9,230. The number was symbolic and was actually Kohli’s very Test career (9,230 runs before retiring in May 2025). The shoe was a tribute to his long-standing success story and a reflection of One8’s commitment to innovation and storytelling through design.
Comedian Danish Sait also struck on Kohli to play with humour when he teased Kohli about a possible comeback to achieve the 10,000 runs in the test. Kohli, smiling, put an end to all the speculation with the line: “I’m done with it.” His response was laughter and applause; he felt he needed to go beyond cricket and focus on the things he would like to do in his daily life and to pursue business.
As far as sportswear was concerned, the premiere was a cultural event. Punjabi singer Karan Aujla pulled it off with a live performance and Olympic wrestler Geeta Phogat brought the world’s talent to the party. Kohli was reflecting on his life as he recalled the grit and fight and especially India’s historic 2022 MCG chase against Pakistan that is etched in cricketing history. He said that those characteristics of resilience and focus still serve One8’s mission of empowering the athletes and the young people in the future through performance-based products.
