'It's Done Bro': Nidhi Razdan Announces Marriage to Omar Abdullah, J&K CM Calls It a New Journey

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and former NDTV journalist Nidhi Razdan have announced their marriage, sharing photographs from their wedding on social media. While Abdullah described the occasion as the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, Razdan's brief response, "It's done bro", quickly caught the internet's attention.

The couple shared the news on Saturday, Oct 31, revealing that the wedding had taken place the previous day.

According to reports, the marriage was solemnised under the Special Marriage Act on Friday, Oct 30. Wedding celebrations were held in Srinagar and New Delhi, with close family members and relatives from both sides attending.

The announcement comes just three months after the Supreme Court dissolved Abdullah's previous marriage to Payal Abdullah on Jul 31, 2026, following an agreement between the estranged couple to settle their matrimonial disputes. They had married in 1994 and, according to the Supreme Court order, had been living separately since 2011.

Who is Nidhi Razdan?

Nidhi Razdan is a prominent Indian journalist and former NDTV executive editor and prime-time news anchor. She spent over two decades in journalism, reporting on Indian politics, international affairs and major developments across the country.

She currently serves as the Director of the Department of Communication at IILM University.

This is also Razdan's second marriage. She was previously married to journalist and writer Neelesh Misra in 2005, with the marriage ending in divorce in 2007.

Relationship rumours had circulated for years

Speculation surrounding Abdullah and Razdan's relationship had circulated on social media for several years, attracting renewed attention when Razdan attended Abdullah's swearing-in ceremony as Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister in Srinagar in October 2024.

Despite the speculation, both had largely refrained from publicly commenting on their relationship until their latest announcement.

The phrase "It's done bro" also caught the attention of social media users, as it references Salman Khan's earlier viral post using the same expression. The phrase had subsequently become an internet meme, making Razdan's choice of words an additional talking point following the wedding announcement.
