The Grand Finale of Bigg Boss Kannada 12 has gone through a rollercoaster of emotions, high stakes drama and historic milestones. The close of competition with the elite Top 6 led to their removal, as we would expect, with the exit of Dhanush Gowda and Raghu (Mutant). The focus turned sharply towards the Top 4, which resulted in a historic event followed by the bittersweet departure of one of the most steadfast players of the series: Kavya Shaiva.
A Historic Milestone for Female Contestants
Bigg Boss Kannada 12 had etched its name in the record books before the eviction was announced. This was the first time in the franchise that featured three female contestants and one male contestant: Gilli Nata, Kavya Shaiva, Ashwini Gowda, and Rakshitha Shetty. This “women-dominated” finale stage was a reminder of the shifting power dynamics of the show, and Kavya Shaiva played a huge role in that landmark moment in history.
The Entry of Crazy Star Ravichandran
The mood in the house became electric when Sandalwood legend, the "Crazy Star" Ravichandran made his entrance to the Bigg Boss house to perform Top 4 elimination at the same time. He was a charismatic screen presence, Ravichandran made the proceedings an exercise in tension but also luxury. His function wasn’t merely to proclaim a name, but to put the resolve of the other finalists to the test.
The Tempting ₹5 Lakh Suitcase Offer
In his traditional Bigg Boss move, Ravichandran got the Top 4, Gilli Nata, Kavya, Ashwini and Rakshitha, to offer them a package worth ₹5 Lakh. The rule was straightforward: if somebody was unsure he would win, he should pick up the suitcase and just walk out of the competition, period.
With that much money literally now in their hands, and yet all four contestants had unimaginable courage as well as a clear sense of self-belief. One by one, they said no to the offer, and they elected to trust their fans' love and votes, not the "easy" way out.
Kavya Shaiva’s Emotional Exit
In the end the vote of the audience was at issue. As Kichcha Sudeep and Ravichandran observed, based on the public mandate, Kavya Shaiva earned the 4th place. Though she missed out on the Top 3 podium, her departure was a stroke of grace. Kavya, who was famous for playing the serial Kendasampige, received a lot of positive acclaim, considering that she had entered the game in a "Janti" (duo) with Gilli Nata and ended it a formidable solo player.
Accolades and Prize Money
Kavya didn’t go out of that stage empty-handed. For her outstanding turn in the 4th place of an even more-competitive season she ended up with a cash prize of ₹10 Lakh from the show’s sponsors.
But after Kavya departs the fight for the Bigg Boss Kannada 12 title is now between the other three, Gilli Nata, Ashwini Gowda and Rakshitha Shetty.
