The Grand finale of Bigg Boss Kannada 12 has turned the hushed suburb of Bidadi into a high-voltage battleground of fan passion. When the final countdown has been activated at Jollywood Studios, the anticipation has devolved into chaos so great that law enforcement had to step in with a huge security presence and crowd control measures.
A Massive Influx of Fans in Bidadi
Thousands of die-hard supporters descended on Bidadi long before they heard the official announcement of the winner. The area surrounding Jollywood Studios is now blanketed with posters, banners, and big cutouts, mostly involving finalists Gilli Nata and Kavya Shaiva.
But it couldn’t last much longer: The atmosphere, once giddy, had turned intense as the crowd swelled past the studio’s reach. To maintain order, over 50 members of the police have been deployed, including a dedicated platoon of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP). Although they are present in this volume, local Bidadi police has had to handle traffic management and crowd control, with this overwhelming presence, a burden they have had to bear.
Fan Frenzy: Silencer Firing and Street Celebrations
The "Gilli" fans came on their way up to ramp up the celebrations into a fever pitch. Among the enthusiastic demonstration of some fans were showing off what appeared to be "silencer firing": they were performing "silencer firing" on their motorbikes — making loud sounds that created a din for the drums and trumpets.
Shouting phrases, waving flags and "Ksheera Abhisheka" (milk offering) on cutouts of their favorites. It was a lively crowd and the sound of shouting "We shall be here!" For joy and safety however turned from a source of excitement into a danger, the fans blocked the major roads, disregarded the police, and began an early victory parade, believing Gilli Nata’s victory.
Escalation and Police Action
Things got tense when a segment of the crowd tried to breach the major gates of Jollywood Studios to grab a look at the stars or into the filming area. The crowd remained intractable with the gates forced under pressure and a mild lathi charge used to disperse the crowd and prevent the stampede. Even as the police moved, the spirit of the fans did not go away. Many retreated to the roadsides but still shouted slogans and danced, and that whole stretch essentially became a carnival of sound and color.
Strict Vigilance and Security Blankets
The police have put heavy focus on their scrutiny, now the last update on a final announcement of the Season 12 winner will be released soon. Entry to the studio is closely watched, and even more barricades have been erected to keep fans from crowding the stage exits.
Those on the ground are on high alert to make sure that the festivities do not degenerate into a law and order crisis once the trophy is finally lifted.
