Television actress Hina Khan has attacked her former co-contestant Shilpa Shinde for her shocking admission that she filed a false sexual harassment case against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain producer Sanjay Kohli. Hina called it “absolutely shameful” and insists that Kohli is the “real victim” of this episode.

“I only speak up when it is about something sensitive, something that affects all of us as a society, especially as women,” she wrote. “Yes, using your sex to malign someone’s image in order to win during a conflict is absolutely shameful. I am shocked beyond words.”

She said the irony is that even after Shilpa admitted that the allegations were false and made just to gain leverage in a contractual dispute, Kohli still offered her work on the same show. “Another launchpad, another mouthpiece, another relevance, another chance to legitimise her fake claim of sexual assault,” she wrote. “What if the actor repeats it? I am appalled. The joke is on us.”

After much backlash and mounting calls for legal action, Shilpa issued a video statement that says she doesn’t regret telling the truth and that she confessed for her own “mental peace,” not publicity.
