2026 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Launched with Assist & Slipper Clutch, USB Type-C Charging; Prices Start at ₹1.95 Lakh

Royal Enfield has launched a new Classic 350 for India with two useful upgrades to one of the country’s most popular retro motorcycles. The new version now includes an assist and slipper clutch with a USB Type-C fast charging port, so that your ride is more convenient and the motorcycle will still be the same.

The updated Classic 350 is priced at ₹1.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the dual-channel ABS version. The base Redditch Red one with single-channel ABS is priced at ₹1.87 lakh (ex-showroom) and does not get the new upgrades.

Assist & Slipper Clutch Makes Riding Easy

One of the biggest changes to this new Classic 350 is the assist and slipper clutch. This feature greatly reduces clutch lever effort so that in city traffic, the motorcycle is much easier to ride with frequent gear shifts.

The slipper clutch also prevents excessive rear-wheel locking or hopping during aggressive downshifts to assure smoother gear transitions and also to improve riding confidence.

With this update, almost every motorcycle on Royal Enfield's modern 350cc J-platform is equipped with an assist and slipper clutch. The Bullet 350 is currently the only model that doesn't have this feature, but it will be updated soon.

USB Type-C Charging Port Added

Royal Enfield also replaced the old USB charging port with the USB Type-C fast charging port so riders can charge phones and electronics more efficiently over long rides.

It may seem like a small addition, but USB Type-C compatibility has become an important convenience feature for touring enthusiasts who depend on navigation, communication, and action cameras while riding.

Engine Remains Unchanged

Mechanically, the motorcycle continues with the trusted 349cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled J-series engine.

The engine produces:

  • 20.2 hp of maximum power,
  •  27 Nm of peak torque,
  • 5-speed gearbox.

The engine is noted for its smoothness and comfort for everyday use and long-distance travel, very good performance, and smooth power delivery and cruising ability.

Royal Enfield has made no changes to the chassis, suspension setup, braking hardware, or the overall riding dynamics of the Classic 350.

Timeless Design Continues

This updated motorcycle retains the classic styling that has made the Classic 350 one of India’s highest-selling premium motorcycles.

Its round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, chrome detailing, upright riding position, and vintage-inspired silhouette are still in place.

However, Royal Enfield has simplified the colour lineup by pulling Halcyon Black and Jodhpur Blue out.

The Classic 350 in 2026 will come in seven colours and will be more modern with a classic finish for the rider.

Price Range

The Classic 350 is available in different versions:

  • Redditch Red (Single-channel ABS): ₹1.87 lakh.
  • Dual-channel ABS: Starting from ₹1.95 lakh.
  • Top-end Emerald Green: ₹2.24 lakh.

(All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.)

A Practical Upgrade

Instead of cosmetic or mechanical upgrades, Royal Enfield is trying to help the rider feel as comfortable as possible and make it easier to use. The lighter clutch and faster charging are a plus in both city and touring riders’ eyes.

These upgrades ensure the Classic 350 continues to stand out in India’s rapidly growing mid-size motorcycle market that is still very much of its vintage style and reliable performance that has kept it at the top for years.

With the latest update, the 2026 Royal Enfield Classic 350 continues to marry timeless design with modern convenience, making it even more attractive for riders who are looking for a classic motorcycle with modern practicality.
