Tata Motors has launched the Curvv Series X in India that is a new variant structure and more features than ever with the Curvv in the market.
At ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) the new Curvv is a more attractive SUV with modern technology and safety features.
The new Curvv Series X range is available in 6 versions - Smart X, Pure X, Pure X+, Creative X+, Accomplished X and Accomplished X+.
Tata also continues to offer the Dark Edition on some versions so that customers can choose a more distinctive exterior appearance.
The entry level Smart X includes many important comfort and safety features: R17 Aero Style wheels, R-Comfort seats with passive ventilation, flush-fitting door handles and multiple drive modes.
Safety features are six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and reverse parking assistance.
The Pure X package adds more convenience-oriented equipment. Buyers will get a 10.25-inch Harman infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, smart-key functionality and a six-speaker audio system.
As customers go up to the Pure X+ they get more premium touches like leatherette upholstery and R17 diamond-cut alloy wheels. The premium version is for buyers who want a more upmarket cabin without the top end of that list.
The Creative X+ offers a major improvement in equipment. It has an assisted panoramic sunroof, R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels and a 360-degree surround-view camera with blind-view monitoring.
The SUV also has dual 10.25-inch screens, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, tyre-pressure monitoring and reclining rear seats.
The range-topping Accomplished X and Accomplished X+ versions emphasize premium features and advanced safety technologies. The versions also have Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats with six-way powered driver’s seat and ambient lighting.
A larger 12.3-inch Harman infotainment screen is coupled with a nine-speaker JBL audio system.
Other high-end accessories include wireless smartphone charging, twin-zone climate control and an air purifier. The Accomplished X+ goes one step further with a gesture-controlled powered tailgate that adds an additional convenience.
The Curvv Series X will continue to use Tata's existing petrol and diesel powertrain options. Depending on the configuration customers can choose from a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Transmission options include six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Tata has also worked on rear-seat comfort. Front-seat design and rear-seat placement are designed to make passengers feel more comfortable on long trips.
With coupe-like styling, updated variants, multiple powertrain options and a long list of technology features, Tata Curvv Series X will be able to strengthen Tata Motors’ position in India’s competitive SUV market.
And it’s an entry-level model with a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh that could appeal to buyers who want a full array of features but don’t want to buy a premium SUV.
