Jio has launched a three-year unlimited connectivity prepaid plan at ₹10,000. With this new offering available from Today Jio is targeting customers who want long term recharge options and don’t want to get their mobile plans renewed every few months or once a year.
The company says the package is a long term connectivity solution with price certainty and additional digital services.
The biggest USP of the new Jio recharge plan is its 1095 day validity. Customers will have to pay ₹10,000 once only to get connectivity benefits for three years. That’s just about ₹9.13 per day enough incentive for subscribers who use mobile data and voice services regularly. Instead of remembering multiple recharge dates one can make a single payment and continue using the included benefits throughout validity period.
In terms of mobile connectivity, the ₹10k plan offers unlimited voice calls across networks, 2.5GB of high speed data per day and 100 SMS messages daily. It also has unlimited 5G data access for eligible subscribers.
The daily high-speed data allowance is important as people who use mobile internet for video streaming, online meetings, social media, browsing navigation etc have to use it on a regular basis so that’s why the daily data allowance matters. Customers should remember that unlimited 5G access only applies if they have a compatible 5G smartphone and are within Jio’s 5G coverage area. Check the daily data allowance and applicable plan conditions before completing the recharge.
Jio has also bundled several digital services to make the package more attractive. One of them is a JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood subscription that gives subscribers access to shows, films and live sports available under applicable subscription offering (shows etc. can be viewed on any phone). Customers who watch digital entertainment on smartphones regularly might find this bundled benefit valuable in the long-term recharge.
The plan also includes a 12-month Canva Pro Lite subscription. Canva is used by most people to create social media posts, presentations, invitations posters and other digital designs.
The subscription may be useful for students, content creators small business owners and professionals who need creative tools for everyday work. Subscribers should note that the Canva Pro Lite benefit is only good for 12 months (not three years) not the whole three year validity period.
Another bonus is 50GB of complimentary storage on JioAICloud. This cloud storage facility lets you store digital files, photographs and documents online. Smartphone users are increasingly relying on digital storage for personal and professional information so if people want to keep important files online then the extra space might be useful.
The ₹10,000 plan will be available on multiple recharge channels from Today onwards. People can buy it using MyJio app, Jio website, Jio stores, authorised retail outlets and other Jio recharge channels across India. Before making payment customers must check complete terms and conditions, eligibility requirements and activation details of the plan.
The new offer also poses an important question about long-term recharge savings. At ₹9.13 per day, the plan might be attractive to customers who want uninterrupted service and predictable mobile expenses; paying upfront is a bigger immediate investment but not everyone may need 3 years of connectivity or all the bundled digital services. Customers with limited data usage or smaller recharges might find shorter validity plans better suited.
The ₹10,000 three-year unlimited connectivity plan from Jio bundles long-term mobile service (no contract), unlimited calling, daily data, 5G access and some digital subscriptions into one plan. Its biggest draw is that it has a validity of 36 months and only one recharge.
Whether or not it’s the right choice will depend on how much data you use, whether you have access to Jio’s 5G network and how much value subscribers place on the entertainment, design and cloud storage benefits included.
