Al Rahim Pharmacy Row: Owner Mohsin Faces Allegations Over Anaesthesia Procedures, Complaint Seeks DCA Probe

Al Rahim Pharmacy and its owner Mohsin (a B.Com graduate) have been charged with anaesthesia administration and invasive medical procedures. A complaint has been made to the authorities asking for an investigation into activities of the pharmacy and action if any violations are found. The complaint also mentions that no qualified pharmacist is present at the premises and minimum space requirement as laid down by DCA guidelines is not met. Complainant has demanded officials to inspect the place immediately and investigate the irregularities.

Al Rahim Pharmacy Owner Faces Allegations Over Medical Procedures

The complaint alleges that Al Rahim Pharmacy owner Mohsin is involved in invasive medical procedures despite having a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree and anaesthesia is also being administered during such procedures. The complaint questions qualifications, professional credentials and legal authority of the person allegedly performing these medical activities.

The complainant has asked the authorities to investigate whether the pharmacy is being used for activities beyond its permitted use. The allegations have also highlighted that medical procedures involving anaesthesia should only be carried out by appropriately qualified and authorised healthcare professionals in suitable clinical settings.

However, the allegations have not yet been independently checked. No official confirmation has been given as to the procedures alleged or qualification of those involved or regulatory violations in the information available so far. It will be up to the authorities to do this properly.

Complaint Raises Concerns Over Pharmacist Availability

Another major point of concern in the complaint is the alleged lack of pharmacist at Al Rahim Pharmacy. The complainant says that a qualified pharmacist is not available at the establishment which raises questions as to whether the pharmacy complies with applicable pharmacy regulations.

Pharmacies are part of the healthcare system because they dispense medicines, inform patients about medication in a proper way and ensure that pharmaceutical products are handled responsibly. The presence of a qualified pharmacist is necessary for professional standards to be maintained and protect patients from possible medication risks.

The complaint has asked the Drug Control Administration to check whether the pharmacy is licensed and staffed as required; that authorities inspect the premises and see if it is complying with regulations on sale and dispensing of medicines; and that they be told if the establishment is selling medicines illegally.

DCA Guidelines and Minimum Premises Requirements Under Scrutiny

The complaint also alleges that Al Rahim Pharmacy does not have enough space. The minimum premises area requirement under the relevant Drug Control Administration guidelines is not met, it says.

Premises requirements for pharmacies are to ensure that medicines are stored, handled and dispensed in a proper way. Infrastructure, storage facilities and licensing requirements are all part of pharmaceutical regulation.

The complainant has asked officials to inspect the pharmacy premises, check its registration and licence details and see whether it is compliant with the standards or not. If any violations are found during inspection, authorities have been asked to take action under applicable laws and regulations.

Authorities Urged to Conduct Immediate Inspection

The complaint requests an immediate investigation of the activities at Al Rahim Pharmacy. The complainant has asked officials concerned to look into whether there are any unauthorised medical procedures or violations of pharmaceutical regulations being carried out at the establishment.

The investigation requested will likely examine the pharmacy’s licence to operate, whether it has a qualified pharmacist on staff, the education and professional qualifications of owner, alleged administration of anaesthesia and minimum premises requirements. Authorities may also need to see if the establishment is carrying out activities outside of its permitted licence.

If the allegations are true then regulatory action could be taken under the law but whether violations occurred or who is responsible would depend on the results of the official investigation.

Patient Safety Concerns Highlighted

The allegations have focused attention on wider issues of patient safety and the need for strict professional standards in health care establishments. Medical procedures that involve anaesthesia require specialised knowledge, equipment and clinical supervision; pharmaceutical establishments must meet licensing requirements, staffing and infrastructure needs to dispense medicines safely.

The complainant has asked the authorities to act quickly and inspect Al Rahim Pharmacy. The outcome of the investigation will decide whether the allegations are supported by evidence or not and if any action is required (if so).

As of yet there are no official findings or enforcement action taken. We will find out more about the complaint, how the owner of the pharmacy responded and what authorities are investigating.
